Sports Toto’s official online sales platform, Betman, has launched a month-long campaign aimed at encouraging healthier betting habits among users.
As reported by Chosun Biz, the “Join the responsible program and create a healthy Toto life” campaign invites customers to review their purchasing behavior and adopt self-management tools designed to prevent excessive involvement in sports lottery betting.
To take part, users must log in to Betman, watch the “Knowing responsible purchases” educational content and complete three structured programs. The video provides guidance on proper Sports Toto usage and outlines rules intended to prevent overinvolvement. Users receive 500 Bet Balls for watching or downloading the content.
The three programs include a self-diagnostic assessment to evaluate personal betting tendencies, a self purchase plan that allows users to set weekly spending limits and frequency controls, and a self rest plan enabling voluntary suspension of purchases for a set period.
After completing all steps, participants are automatically entered into a prize draw offering food delivery and convenience store vouchers. All participants also receive an additional 500 Bet Balls.
The campaign runs through May 31, with winners to be announced on June 5.
While the initiative demonstrates ongoing efforts by Korea Sports Leisure to strengthen responsible play awareness, the incentive structure may invite discussion. Although the program promotes education and voluntary limits, awarding Bet Balls, which are connected to platform activity, could appear to sit in tension with harm minimization objectives.
The campaign highlights the broader challenge faced by regulated betting platforms in encouraging responsible behavior while maintaining user engagement.
