Flutter Brazil is using the Brazilian Northeast Cup semi-finals to promote responsible gaming messaging through a joint activation involving its Betnacional and Betfair brands.
The campaign, titled “Jogo Flutter Brazil,” will take place during the two-legged semi-final between Sport Recife and Fortaleza on 20 and 27 May. Sport Recife is sponsored by Betnacional, while Betfair will appear as a temporary sponsor of Fortaleza for this stage of the tournament.
According to the group, the activation aims to position responsible gaming and user protection at the center of its communication strategy while leveraging the strong regional visibility and engagement surrounding northeastern Brazilian football.
The initiative also coincides with the first anniversary of Flutter Brazil’s official operations in the country, following the company’s launch on 14 May 2025.
“As we integrate the sponsorships of Betnacional and Betfair during a moment of enormous visibility and regional appeal in a successful competition, we reaffirm that conscious gaming and balance are not isolated messages, but integral parts of our operational philosophy and the DNA of our communication,” said Flutter Brazil CMO Alvaro Garcia.
The company stated that users across its platforms can access a range of responsible gaming tools, including deposit limits, loss limits, screen time controls and voluntary self-exclusion mechanisms.
Flutter Brazil also highlighted institutional partnerships with organizations including the Brazilian Institute for Responsible Gaming (IBJR) and the Brazilian Cybersecurity Association, alongside educational initiatives such as Betnacional’s “Play Like a Senior” campaign featuring footballer Vinícius Júnior.
Recently, Betnacional also expanded its marketing strategy around major football tournaments by integrating a network of digital creators into its “Get Your Passion in the Game” campaign.
Betnacional recently became the main sponsor of Athletic Club MG for the 2026 season
