Nordic operator Paf has increased both its revenue and profit during 2025; it also saw a historic milestone where it passed half a billion euros in amount contributed to its society in Åland.
Since its foundation in 1966, Paf has contributed a total of €527.9m in funds distributed to its society.
Paf’s revenue increased to €214.5m in 2025, compared to €191.7m in 2024, marking an increase of 12%.
The operator’s profit increased from €54.3m to €57.2m.
The number of active customers also increased in the past year by 12% and the annual distribution of Paf’s funds amounts to €55.5m.
“The profit improved by 5%, which means that Paf delivered the strongest result in the company’s history. Our figures are positive across all our markets and our physical operations increased revenue by 3%,” said CEO Christer Fahlstedt.
The funds distributed are responsible for support of various projects that benefit social activities, culture, youth support, sports and environmental initiatives.
Paf increased the value of its annual employee-driven charitable donation to €150,000 last year.
“Contributing more than €500m to building a stronger society in Åland is a new milestone in Paf’s 60-year history. Paf has made a remarkable journey from offering local gaming experiences in Åland in the 1960s to introducing gaming onboard ferries during the latter part of the 20th century,” says Jan-Mikael von Schantz, Chairman of the Board at Paf.
In 2025, Paf lowered the loss limit to €16,000 for all customers and to €6,000 for young people aged 20–24. In February 2026, the general mandatory loss limit was reduced again to €15,000. The latest reduction means that Paf has now halved the original loss limit that was first introduced in 2018.

The customer segment table listed above shows the development of gaming from 2017 to 2025. The red customer segment is down to zero, as Paf’s loss limits have stopped large losses. The green segment shows revenue from customers who play for less than €8,000 per year, and revenue from that segment increased by 17.5% during the past year.
As Paf continues its commitment to building sustainable gaming revenue in the market, its direction requires both persistence and reliance on community.
