The Hipódromo de La Plata hosted Grossa, a festival that brought together live music, visual art, analog film and local gastronomy.
The event attracted hundreds of attendees from across the city and surrounding areas in a daytime-to-midnight program.
The lineup featured several acts from La Plata's current music scene, including Pérez, Mora y los Metegoles, Carmen Sánchez Viamonte, Shaman y los Hombres en Llamas, Sofía Uzal, Bisturí and Poli, the project led by the frontman of Señor Tomate, who returned to the stage to present his latest work, Jai-Yia.
The evening closed with a DJ set by Viktoria Jauregui, reinforcing the blend of indie rock and electronic music long associated with the city's cultural identity.
During the event, Gonzalo Atanasof, President of the Instituto Provincial de Lotería y Casinos (IPLyC), and Hipódromo Administrator Mariano Cowen presented recognitions to visual artist Francisco Carranza, cultural producer Lucas Finocchi and singer Sofía Uzal for their role in organizing the festival and contributing to the local arts scene. Manuel Vallejos, Marina Villanueva and artist Juan Pablo Rosset also attended.
Atanasof said: "We are excited that the Hipódromo continues incorporating new musical, cultural and gastronomic proposals, and that more and more residents of La Plata and the region are embracing this open-air space as a meeting point."
The production featured curated stage design, independent graphic art displays and local food vendors, elements organizers described as part of a broader effort to position the Hipódromo as a cultural hub within Buenos Aires Province.
The venue's upcoming calendar includes Diego Torres on September 19 as part of the Noches Capitales series, followed by Pimpinela on October 3 with its Noticias del Amor show in a new seated field format. Babasónicos is also scheduled to perform on November 14 in support of its latest album.
