Ukrainian influencer and television personality Tatyana Yusupova, known for her participation in the reality show Supermom, has lost her legal appeal against a UAH 4.8m fine for promoting online gambling without authorisation.

On 20 October 2025, the regulator PlayCity fined her UAH 4.8m for illegal gambling advertising found on her social media page. Later, due to penalties and legal costs, the fine increased to nearly UAH 5.3m.

She attempted to challenge the opening of enforcement proceedings and filed a lawsuit against the State Enforcement Service in Khmelnytskyi region.

Yusupova’s representative attempted to overturn the enforcement proceedings using several formal arguments. These included claims that the agency’s decision only recommended “making payment” and did not directly require “collection”. They also argued that there was no clear date showing when the document became legally effective.

A panel of judges dismissed the complaint in its entirety and upheld the previous decision of the Khmelnytskyi District Administrative Court.

PlayCity has recently intensified its enforcement activities, including actions related to unlawful advertising.

In April, Playcity requested the blocking of 42 social media pages containing illegal gambling advertising. In addition, FC Shakhtar was fined nearly UAH 5.2m for breaches of gambling advertising rules.

To encourage wider reporting of illegal advertising, PlayCity earlier launched an online complaints tool. Reported content is reviewed by the regulator, with confirmed violations being forwarded to platforms such as Meta, Google and TikTok for removal.

The new tool has generated more than 250 reports of illegal gambling advertisements in the first two weeks.
