MediaTroopers has established a local entity in Brazil as affiliate and acquisition suppliers adapt to the country’s regulated online betting market.
The new structure includes a registered company, front office and local banking infrastructure. MediaTroopers said the entity will support international operators, vendors and financial institutions entering Brazil, while also acting as a local service hub for operators already active in the market.
Brazil’s fixed-odds betting regime came into force on 1 January 2025, with the Secretariat of Prizes and Bets overseeing authorisation, monitoring and enforcement.
Operators require prior approval from the SPA to offer fixed-odds betting, while authorised operators are listed by the Ministry of Finance.
The framework has pushed suppliers and affiliates toward more formal local structures, particularly as operators face rules covering licensing, payments, advertising, anti-money laundering controls and responsible gambling.
Brazil’s Ministry of Finance has also said the SPA was created to organise a sector that had operated with limited supervision after betting was legalised in 2018.
MediaTroopers said its Brazil entity will provide localized player acquisition, media buying and affiliate strategy. The move gives the group a more direct operating base in a market where football-led acquisition remains a major focus for sportsbook operators.
Brazil has also become a central market for international betting groups seeking scale in Latin America. At the same time, regulators continue to target irregular operators and products that fall outside the licensed betting framework, including prediction platforms and unauthorised betting sites.
MediaTroopers CEO, Shmulik Segal, said: “By establishing a local company, front office and banking infrastructure, we are creating a stronger operational foundation for our clients.”
Segal added: “The local presence will allow MediaTroopers to act as a bridge for international brands entering Brazil and as a service hub for active operators.”
The Brazil launch follows MediaTroopers’ entry into Peru, where it said it would provide sports betting and prediction market acquisition services before the FIFA World Cup 2026.
Brazil’s federal betting authorisation list was updated by the Ministry of Finance in May 2026
