Brightstar Lottery has announced a five-year extension of its technology partnership with the Oregon Lottery, ensuring the company will continue providing retail lottery solutions in the US state through May 2031.
Under the agreement, Brightstar Global Solutions Corporation, a subsidiary of Brightstar Lottery, will upgrade the Oregon Lottery’s central gaming system and deploy a range of new retail technologies designed to support lottery operations and player engagement.
A key element of the project is the rollout of 2,200 units of Brightstar’s SignaLink digital signage solution. The platform is designed to centrally manage content across retail locations, provide real-time jackpot updates and enable targeted messaging tailored to individual retailers.
Brightstar will also supply 1,000 Retailer Pro S2 terminals, which feature enhanced processing capabilities and modular hardware that can support multiple customer-facing displays and peripheral devices.
Commenting on the extended deal, Oregon Lottery Director Mike Wells stated: "The Oregon Lottery's trusted partnership with Brightstar has strengthened over the last 40-plus years as lottery technology has continued to evolve.
"Through this extension with Brightstar and the deployment of upgraded central system features and modern hardware, we are advancing a more intelligent, responsive ecosystem that supports our retailers, engages players and drives sustainable returns for Oregon."
Scott Gunn, Brightstar COO of North America Lottery, added: "Brightstar's contract extension with the Oregon Lottery reflects our shared commitment to innovation and delivering long-term value for Oregonians.
"We value our longstanding relationship with the state of Oregon and respect our obligation to create meaningful benefits for the Lottery, its retailers, and players."
The Oregon extension follows a series of recent milestones for Brightstar. In May, the company extended its long-running partnership with Slovakia’s national lottery, Tipos, through 2032.
Brightstar has also undergone a leadership transition, with Marco Tasso set to become Global Lottery COO from 1 July.
Earlier this year, the company additionally reported Q1 2026 revenue of $587m and a 15% year-on-year increase in adjusted EBITDA, highlighting continued investment in technology and operational growth.
Brightstar serves nearly 90 lottery customers worldwide and is the primary technology provider to 26 of the 46 lottery jurisdictions in the US
