Katarina Borstedt has been appointed Chief People & Culture Officer at Svenska Spel and will take up the role in September 2026. Following the appointment, Joakim Karlsson, who has been serving in an acting capacity, will return to his permanent role as Head of Talent Acquisition & Tech.
Borstedt joins from her most recent role as VP People & Culture at Munters FoodTech. She brings extensive senior leadership experience in HR.
Her previous roles include Chief People & Culture Officer at Proxify, Director of Growth at Northvolt and leadership positions at Ahlstrom-Munksjö and Munksjö. Earlier in her career, she also worked as a consultant specialising in organisational design and HR transformation at PwC and Deloitte.

Going the other way, Anna Romboli left Svenska Spel to become ATG CEO.
Svenska Spel recently reported its financial results for the first quarter of 2026, with net gaming revenue for the operator growing 2% to nearly SEK1.9bn ($206.2m)
Last month, Svenska Spel extended its partnership deal with the Swedish Ski Association until 2032
