The Virginia Lottery has reported the state’s total casino activity for June 2026, as commercial operators combined to generate $92.1m of revenue during the monthly period, equating to an increase of 17.3%.
Caesars Virginia generated the most revenue of any land-based operator after increasing 5% year-over-year to $32.1m, while Rivers Casino Portsmouth reported a decrease of 6.7% but still accounted for nearly $24.7m.
Virginia’s June casino activity was boosted by the introduction of two commercial gaming establishments since the prior year period, as The Interim Gaming Hall Norfolk and Live! Virginia produced $13.5m and $874,287 of the state’s total revenue, respectively.

Hard Rock Bristol managed to generate just over $20.9m of casino revenue for June, representing a decrease of 2.4%.
The Virginia Lottery reported a total slot machine revenue increase of 20.5% to $71.1m, while table game revenue across the state rose 7.5% to $21m.
The five commercial gaming operators also submitted nearly $16.6m of total taxes to the state during June, including $5.5m to respective host cities, $10.9m to the Gaming Proceeds Fund and $132,612 to the Problem Gambling Treatment and Support Fund.

The Virginia Lottery reported the state’s total sports wagering activity for May 2026 on July 1, as operators reported a combined $63.3m of adjusted gross revenue (AGR), representing a decrease of 6.8%.
Driven primarily by online sports betting operations, the vertical generated $62.9m of AGR during the monthly period, equating to a similar fall of 6.8%. Sports betting revenue generated by retail casinos totaled just $439,556, having decreased 5.9%.
