Lotto.com has announced a sponsorship of Food For Thought Denver, a Colorado nonprofit that delivers weekend meals to children facing food insecurity.
Food For Thought Denver, founded in 2012, provides weekly "PowerSacks" of food to children across more than 75 schools in the Denver area to address weekend hunger. The organization says one in seven children in Colorado experiences food insecurity.
As part of the partnership, Lotto.com sponsored Rock-A-Belly, Food For Thought Denver's annual fundraising event. The event brings together community members, local leaders and supporters to raise awareness and funding for the nonprofit's weekend food assistance program, with members of the company's Colorado team attending.
Kweku Sapara-Grant, Director of External Affairs for Lotto.com, said: "Community impact is an essential part of Lotto.com. Partnering with Food For Thought Denver allows us to directly support an organization that is making a meaningful difference."
Bob Bell, Founder of Food For Thought Denver, said: "We're proud to stand alongside Lotto.com in the fight against food insecurity. Their partnership not only elevates our work but also sends a powerful message about what’s possible when organizations come together to serve others."
The sponsorship is part of Lotto.com's community engagement efforts in states where it operates, extending the company's support beyond its lottery courier business. Earlier this year, the company partnered with the National Council on Problem Gambling to support Problem Gambling Awareness Month, promoting responsible gambling resources and awareness.
The company has recently launched its lottery courier platform in Puerto Rico, marking its first market outside the US and its first in a predominantly Spanish-speaking jurisdiction. The initial rollout includes draw games such as Powerball, Double Play and Loto Cash.
Lotto.com operates in 12 jurisdictions across the US and Puerto Rico, with plans to expand into additional markets
