The Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA) and Emirates Airline have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to boost visitor arrivals to the emirate from key markets across the airline’s global network.
This cooperation will include joint marketing campaigns, trade and media familiarization programmes, destination experiences, travel packages and incentives for tour operators.
RAKTDA and Emirates will also collaborate to share insights on traveler segments and leverage these findings to enhance future marketing campaigns.
RAKTDA CEO Phillipa Harrison stated: “As we expand our destination offering and cement Ras Al Khaimah’s positioning globally, working with Emirates will help connect the destination with audiences across key international markets. Through our collaboration with Emirates, we aim to build long-term value for our tourism partners and offer travelers more reasons to visit the UAE and explore Ras Al Khaimah.”
Ras Al Khaimah aims for more than 3.5 million annual visitors by 2030. Tourism will be a key driver for Wynn’s IR currently under development there. The emirate welcomed more than 670,000 visitors in the first half of 2026, marking its strongest first-half performance on record.
Meanwhile, the development of Wynn Al Marjan Island remains on track for a 2027 opening. Wynn recently unveiled two new accommodation categories. These include two seven-bedroom Royal Apartments at the top of its 70-storey Resort Tower.
The other is the Townhomes, a new accommodation concept the resort says represents an entirely new category. In its announcement, the company was explicit about the distinction.
“It’s not a larger suite, not a grander villa, but an entirely new category of accommodation. A private world positioned at the very heart of the resort, where the energy of the destination sits at your doorstep and a sanctuary entirely your own waits behind it,” stated the company.
In July, construction began on Janu Al Marjan Island, a luxury hotel and branded residences development in Ras Al Khaimah
