The Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ) has released gross revenue data from Games of Fortune for September 2025, providing the latest update on the sector's performance.

Gross revenue in September 2025 totaled MOP 18.29bn, compared with MOP 17.25bn in the same month of 2024, representing a 6.0% year-on-year increase. This marks the ninth consecutive month of year-on-year growth in 2025.

Cumulative gross revenue for January through September 2025 reached MOP 181.34bn, which represents a 7.1% increase since the same period in 2024.

Earlier in the year, June and July each recorded 19.0% year-on-year growth, representing the strongest monthly gains of 2025. August followed with a 12.2% increase, bringing monthly revenue to MOP 22.16bn.

January 2025 saw a 5.6% year-on-year decline, but every subsequent month recorded positive growth compared to 2024. September's data reflects continued upward movement in gross gaming revenue.

September's gaming revenue increased 6% year-on-year, slightly below the projected 9% growth. The shortfall is likely attributed to temporary closures caused by recent typhoon disruptions, which affected operations across several gaming venues.

The temporary closures and coordinated safety measures were implemented by the DICJ in response to Typhoon Signal No. 8.
