Peter Emolemo Kesitilwe, the CEO of the African iGaming Alliance (AIA), has joined Clarion Gaming's Regulatory Advisory Board.
Clarion Gaming organises many of the gambling industry's foremost conferences, with this board helping to facilitate and drive forward the conversations on regulatory matters.
Indeed, Kesitilwe is set to be a featured speaker at ICE Barcelona 2026, taking place in January and run by Clarion.
He joined the AIA as the trade association's CEO in September 2025, heading up the joint effort by some of Africa's leading operators to make the case for regulatory harmonisation and sustainable taxation across the continent.
Previously he served as the CEO of the Botswana Gambling Authority, meaning he brings with him valuable regulatory experience to the new role with Clarion, as well as that which he's gained advocating for industry with the AIA.
In a social media post he has commented: "This appointment reflects the growing relevance of African markets in global gaming discussions and the importance of practical, balanced regulation that supports consumer protection, sustainable taxation and the fight against illegal market."
Clarion Gaming also organises iGB Live, for which Kesitilwe and other figures on the Regulatory Advisory Board will play a significant role in shaping the agenda.
He went on to add: "I look forward to contributing African perspectives to global platforms such as ICE and iGB Live, and to engaging with fellow regulators and industry leaders on shaping the future of responsible gaming."
The formation of the AIA and the inclusion of its CEO on a board such as this highlights the growth that is taking place within African iGaming markets.
That growth makes it increasingly necessary to ensure strong, widespread African representation in the global regulatory conversation.
The African iGaming Alliance is a trade association with members representing 888Africa, SportyBet, BetPawa, Betway Africa and Pawa Tech
