Singapore's Gambling Regulatory Authority (GRA) has renewed Singapore Pools' gaming license for another five years, effective 25 October 2025.

The license will permit Singapore Pools to offer betting, gaming and lotteries under Section 54 of the Gambling Control Act 2022.

Singapore Pools' operation spans roughly 300 locations. Specifically, the license covers three livewire locations; Marina Bay Sands, Singapore Pools and The Majestic; eight betting centres; including Connection One Tower, China Square Food Centre and Block 215; and 289 outlets across the country.

Singapore Pools is a private, state-owned lottery subsidiary, formed in 1968. It is the only operator legally allowed to run lotteries in the nation.

The renewal comes at a time of development for the nation's gaming industry. Marina Bay Sands, one of the biggest casinos in the country, is currently the centre of an $8bn expansion effort by owners Las Vegas Sands, with the development set to include a new hotel tower, arena and more.

It also comes as the GRA considers updating its remote gaming license to allow prize trading in the nation. In-game marketplaces are common among third-party platforms, making the regulator consider legalising the practise under a Type 2 remote gaming license.
