Brightstar Lottery has announced a new global partnership with Detroit-based Avanti Licensing, granting the lottery supplier exclusive rights to develop omnichannel games featuring Avanti's trademark humor and imagery.
Under the five-year agreement, Brightstar will design and distribute lottery products based on Avanti's internationally recognized greeting card series, including titles such as Hot Diggity Dog, Meowy Christmas and Party Animals.
The collaboration will cover a mix of instant tickets, draw-based games and e-Instant formats, reflecting Brightstar's growing focus on digital and retail integration.
Chip Owen, EVP at Avanti Press, said: "Making people smile is at the heart of what we do at Avanti, and we're excited to partner with Brightstar to bring the Avanti brand of fun to our customers and now to lottery players via these exciting games. Our vast image library has universal appeal across geographies, generations and seasonal occasions."
Matthew Whalen, SVP of Global Instant Ticket Services at Brightstar, added: "Avanti produces some of the most recognizable greeting cards on the market and Brightstar will combine its game design experience with Avanti's humor to develop compelling instant tickets and interactive digital games."
Founded in 1980, Avanti is known for its character-driven humor and greeting cards translated into more than 12 languages. The company's partnership with Brightstar was facilitated by licensing agency Lisa Marks Associates (LMA).
The deal follows Brightstar's recent industry showcase at the European Lotteries Congress in Bern, where the company, formerly IGT's Global Lottery division, presented its rebranded portfolio for the first time since its July 2025 separation from IGT's gaming and digital operations.
Brightstar highlighted new products such as LotteryLink and Prize Tap e-Instants, alongside advanced display and retail solutions aimed at modernising the player experience.
The Avanti agreement marks another step in Brightstar's post-rebrand strategy to expand its intellectual property partnerships and broaden its omnichannel content line-up.
The company currently provides technology and services to nearly 90 lottery operators worldwide, including 26 US jurisdictions and eight of the world's ten largest lotteries.
