The Bulgarian Sports Totalizator, a lottery operator also known as SportsToto, has published its results for the FY2025 period.
The total revenue at the bookmaker increased 10.6% year-on-year to BGN 472m ($278.8m), while revenue for the state also increased 10.2% to BGN 104m.
Player winnings increased 12.7% to BGN 254m, likely supported by an increase in customer activity.
SportsToto explained that the sales for its Toto 1 and Toto 2 games grew 3% to BGN 334m, while its lottery game grew almost 17.8% this February alone, which was probably due to a €5.5m ($6.36m) jackpot.
The bookmaker described “2025 as the most successful financial year in the almost 33-year history of instant lottery games, from the creation of the first game 'Chance for All' in 1992 to today.”
To continue this momentum, SportsToto is planning more than 30 new lottery-style games to be released throughout 2026.
Not only will this continue to drive customer interest and engagement in the products, but aligns SportsToto with joining the Eurojackpot.
It is believed that SportsToto will release an official statement explaining its intention to join the Eurojackpot early next month.
The operator also plans to continue digitising its process and developing its network of industry partners.
Interestingly, SportsToto also plans to launch its own socially responsible campaign, as part of its initiative to be a recognisable and socially engaged institution.
However, a few days ago, Bulgarian MP Venko Sabrutev proposed a full ban on gambling advertising.
This follows an incident where a school boarded up a particular entrance to allow for gambling advertising to be placed closer to the establishment.
