Danske Spil recorded a profit after tax of just over DKK 2bn ($307.2m) in 2025, an increase 3.08% year-on-year, marking the highest profit in its history, according to the company’s annual report.
Gross gaming revenue (GGR) was just under DKK 5.2bn, representing a small year-on-year decline of around 2%. Online gaming accounted for 70% of the total GGR.
The company attributes the decrease mainly to fewer high and maximum jackpots on Eurojackpot in 2025 compared with 2024, which negatively affected revenue.
Sports betting activity was also lower in 2025 compared with the high number of active customers during the 2024 European Championship.
Danske Spil Casino and Tivoli Casino maintained strong positions and set a new GGR record.
The company also reported that it continued efforts to promote responsible gaming, including initiatives aimed at young adults under 25. In 2025, the average gaming expenditure for this age group on betting and online casinos fell to less than DKK 130 per month.
Danske Spil's societal contributions reached approximately DKK 3.1bn in 2025, including distribution funds, dividends, state taxes and corporate tax. Of this total, around DKK 1.8bn went to distribution funds that support thousands of projects in sports, culture, community associations and social initiatives across Denmark.
The annual report notes that 2025 was a year of significant market change for Danske Licens Spil. Competition in the liberalised market was intense, with major international operators taking a larger share, while the unregulated market became increasingly attractive to Danish players.
In 2025, Danske Spil invested in digital platforms and products, launched a new casino website and boosted interest in the Danish poker community with a major upgrade in partnership with GG Poker
