Midnite has returned as official UK betting and casino partner for the 2026 World Snooker Championship, bringing back its Midnite Maximum campaign
A new staggered prize structure offers up to £100,000 if a 147 is made in the final, up from the £25,000 won by a fan at last year's tournament
The Midnite Lounge will again operate as a dedicated fan space in Sheffield throughout the event

Midnite, the official UK betting and casino partner for the 2026 World Snooker Championship, has announced the return of its Midnite Maximum campaign, with a significantly elevated prize structure ahead of this year's tournament at the Crucible in Sheffield.

First introduced at the 2025 World Snooker Championship, the Midnite Maximum offers fans the chance to win a cash prize if a 147 maximum break is recorded during a session.

The campaign gained attention last year when Mark Allen made a maximum at the Crucible, resulting in a £25,000 ($34,000) payout to fan Brian Nicholls.

The initiative also featured at the 2026 Johnstone's Paint Masters in January.

For 2026, Midnite has introduced a staggered prize structure designed to build momentum across the tournament's 17 days.

A maximum break in the opening round will be worth £5,000, rising to £10,000 in the second round, £25,000 in the quarter-finals and £50,000 in the semi-finals – with the headline prize of £100,000 available if a 147 is achieved in the final.

Alongside the Midnite Maximum, the operator will again run its Midnite Lounge at Box in Sheffield city centre throughout the entire tournament. The fan space will feature exhibition matches, amateur competitions for local snooker clubs, free-to-play table sessions and a specially brewed Midnite Lager.

Commenting on the initiative, Andrew Mook, Midnite's Head of Brand Marketing, stated: “The Midnite Maximum was created to give something back to loyal snooker fans and supporters.

“We’ve seen first-hand the impact it can have for those in the draw. The initiative was a huge success at the Crucible last year, and there’s no more iconic stage to return to with an even bigger campaign."

Peter Wright, CCO at World Snooker Tour, added: “Heading into the World Championship we are excited again to be working with Midnite. Last year the Midnite Maximum made by Mark Allen was one of the most thrilling moments of the tournament.

“Raising the prize to as much as £100,000 creates even more drama, and let’s hope we see another 147 in the final.”

The 2026 World Snooker Championship partnership is part of a broader sponsorship strategy for Midnite. The operator was confirmed as the official UK betting and casino partner for both the 2026 Johnstone's Paint Masters and the World Snooker Championship back in December, with branding featured across the BBC's broadcast and digital coverage of both events.

The snooker deals sit alongside a more general period of growth for the company, which has also expanded its sportsbook content through a deal with SIS and strengthened its product team with the appointment of Sam Talbot as VP of Product earlier this year.
