LVCVA officials stated the three events will generate a combined 50,000 visitors and 35,000 incremental room nights during ‘critical’ summer periods

The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) Board of Directors has unanimously approved spending $450,000 to sponsor the Las Vegas World Masters Darts Championship and Beer Festival through 2028.

With the 2026 edition set to be held at the Rio Las Vegas from July 14-19, this year will represent the first time the international darts competition has been hosted in the US.

“It introduces a niche sports event to the versatility that Las Vegas and Clark County can provide to their program, which really compounds the benefit and the value of hosting the World Masters Darts Championships in our destination,” LVCVA VP of Sports Business Development Jennifer Hawkins said.

The 2026 Las Vegas World Masters Darts Championship and Beer Festival will also mark the tournament’s 50th edition and feature groups for men, women and youth.

Sponsorship for each event over the next three years will cost the LVCVA $150,000, while a prize pot of $86,850 will be distributed during the six-day tournament in July.

LVCVA officials estimated the three darts championship events will generate over 50,000 combined visitors and 35,000 incremental room nights during “critical summer need periods.”

The tournament is also projected to attract approximately 3,000-5,000 darts players each year, while an estimated 70% of participants are expected to travel from international markets.

The sponsorship will look to offer the LVCVA with advertising, marketing and hospitality opportunities across all three events.

In the hopes of providing an additional boost to Las Vegas tourism, Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao will meet in a rematch of their first professional boxing contest at The Sphere Las Vegas on September 19.

The Mayweather–Pacquiao rematch represents the first professional boxing event to be held at The Sphere Las Vegas, although the venue did previously host the UFC 306 pay-per-view event in September 2024.

Netflix will maintain exclusive streaming rights for the boxing match, with Mayweather having won the first contest against Pacquiao when the two fought at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on May 2, 2015.
