The Cypriot National Betting Authority has reported market statistics for Q4 2025 showing continued growth in the sector. The GGR of betting operators reached €395.5m, a 22% year-on-year increase.

On an annual basis, total GGR for 2025 reached €1.32bn, marking an 8% increase compared to 2024.

Of the Q4 2025 total, €94.1m came from land-based operators, up 9% compared to the same period last year. Meanwhile, online operators contributed €301.5m, a 27% year-on-year increase.

Betting taxes and fees totaled €47.4m in Q4 2025, up 4% compared to the same quarter of the previous year. The number of operators remained stable, with six land-based operators and 13 online operators.

Regarding the number of land-based venues across Cyprus, this increased slightly by 1% compared to Q4 2024, reaching a total of 467 premises in the country. Of these, 163 are in Nicosia, 135 in Limassol, 84 in Larnaca, 49 in Paphos and 36 in Famagusta.

Efforts to block illegal betting websites continued. In Q4 2025, the blacklist included 22,009 websites with 184 new additions, an increase of 5% compared to the previous year.

Meanwhile, the Cypriot land-based casino sector also recorded strong growth in 2025.

The GGR rose 20% to €227m, compared with €189.2m in 2024, according to a report by the Cypriot Gaming and Casino Supervision Commission (APEK) submitted to the Presidency’s Office. In 2023, GGR stood at €130m.

The flagship integrated resort in Limassol, Melco’s City of Dreams Mediterranean, accounted for 86% of total GGR in 2025.
