Big Daddy Gaming's market debut is drawing closer, and the new slots studio has just announced the receipt of a licence for the first time.
Spelinspektionen, the Swedish Gambling Authority (SGA), has issued Big Daddy Gaming with a gaming software supplier licence, allowing the company to start meeting what it says is the high demand of operators in that market.
The iGaming supergroup was formed by three co-founders: Erland Hellström, Simon Hammon and Daniel Eskola, each with decorated executive careers at Evolution, Relax Gaming and Kindred, respectively.
The trio announced the venture to some fanfare at the end of October 2025 and shared that Hellström will serve as the CEO.
Based out of Malta, the company is still in the process of acquiring its Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) licence.
For now, it can begin the work of bringing its gaming titles to Swedish audiences, and it is expecting to start supplying content to Swedish-licensed operators at some point during Q4 2025.
The company's statement declares that the first such deals are "to be announced in the coming weeks."
Hellström commented on the approval, saying: "Securing the SGA licence is a major validation of our compliance standards and technical readiness. Sweden is an essential market in our growth strategy and securing this approval allows us to immediately begin servicing our operator partners here."
This approval is a marker of intent regarding the company's commitment to regulatory compliance, while the supplier has also taken the opportunity to reiterate its creative philosophy, which it says is built around humour and approachable design.
In its October launch, Big Daddy Gaming positioned itself as a disruptive influence on what it called a "stagnant" slots market.
In light of the latest development, Hellström quoted the company's tagline, saying: "We look forward to delivering content that brings 'Real Value' to their bottom line and genuine 'Reel Fun' to Swedish players."
