Instituto Conecta Cactus, the social responsibility arm of Cactus Gaming, has announced its support for Ateliê Social, a professional training initiative aimed at women living in vulnerable situations in Nova Lima, Minas Gerais.

The project seeks to promote income generation, professional qualification and personal development through sewing training, with participants receiving 192 hours of instruction.

According to the organization, classes will be held twice a week and will focus on women with limited formal education and low income levels.

As part of its contribution, Instituto Conecta Cactus donated the sewing machines required for the program and will also cover the cost of instructors throughout the eight-month training period.

Alexandra Monteiro, Executive Director of Projects at Instituto Conecta Cactus, recently visited the initiative to meet those involved and observe the project’s structure and objectives.

The program is part of the institute’s social investment strategy, which focuses on creating opportunities for education, professional development and social inclusion within local communities.

Organizers said the initiative aims not only to provide technical skills but also to strengthen self-confidence, encourage independence and support long-term economic autonomy among participants.

The project is based in Jardim Canadá, a district of Nova Lima located within the Belo Horizonte metropolitan area.

Instituto Conecta Cactus recently announced a partnership with NAVE (Eternal Life Learning Center), a social development project in Minas Gerais focused on supporting children and teenagers in vulnerable situations.

“We continue to believe that social impact is also about creating tools so that more people can build their own futures with dignity, confidence and autonomy,” concluded the company.
