Liga MX has announced a new sponsorship agreement with prediction market platform Polymarket, covering the US and supported by official data and integrity services from Genius Sports.

Under the partnership, Polymarket becomes the official and exclusive prediction market partner of Liga MX in the US. The agreement covers major league competitions, including the Campeón de Campeones fixture, which will take place in Carson, California, on 25 July 2026.

As part of the arrangement, Genius Sports will supply official league data to support the creation and settlement of prediction market contracts related to Liga MX matches and events.

The company's data infrastructure, which operates across all Liga MX stadiums through its GeniusIQ platform, will act as the authoritative source for market settlement.

The agreement also incorporates integrity monitoring measures. Polymarket will participate in Genius Sports' information-sharing processes, designed to provide leagues with greater visibility into market activity.

The operator said these measures complement its existing integrity framework, which includes blockchain monitoring tools and technology partnerships focused on market oversight.

Commenting on the new deal, José Romano, Commercial VP of the Mexican Football Federation (FMF), stated: “This partnership with Polymarket represents an innovative opportunity to further engage our passionate fanbase in such an important market for Liga MX as the US territory is, through new digital experiences, while maintaining the integrity and credibility that are fundamental to our competitions.”

Mark Locke, CEO of Genius Sports, added: “We’re proud to support this partnership by providing the official data and integrity infrastructure that helps power transparent, trusted prediction markets around Liga MX competitions.

“Working alongside Liga MX and Polymarket reflects the growing importance of reliable, verified official data both in creating a premium product and supporting the integrity of sports.”

For Polymarket, the deal adds another major football property to its expanding sports portfolio. In recent months, the company has announced partnerships with several football organisations, including Serie A and OneFootball, as it continues to grow its presence in the sports prediction market sector.

Eligible US users will be able to access Liga MX-related prediction markets from the start of the 2026-27 season, which begins in July.
