Entain has confirmed that both Edmond Mesrobian and Sheila Bangalore have joined the company’s Board.

Mesrobian has been appointed as a member of the Audit & Risk Committee, where he will serve alongside Rahul Welde, David Satz and Helen Ashton.

He has had a diverse career, starting out as a Senior Scientist with Perseptronics in 1990, where he oversaw the development of architecture for process modeling and distributed process enactment environments.

Mesrobian co-founded the UCLA Data Mining Laboratory, where he led studies into global climate change.

In 1996, Mesrobian joined The Walt Disney Company as VP Engineering and Chief Scientist, where he led the technical direction of Disney’s online websites. He is widely credited with developing early internet culture by developing a kids-only site with parental controls, social interaction, and games.

He would then go on to hold the position of Chief Technology Officer at several high-profile companies spanning several industries, including Expedia, Tesco and Nordstrom.

As for Bangalore, she will join the Sustainability & Compliance Committee alongside Mesrobian, Virginia McDowell and Satz.

Her career saw her become a Law Clerk in 2002, where she would progress to the United States Senate one year later.

She would complete a brief stint with Orbitz as a Consultant Attorney before joining Bally Technologies as Assistant General Counsel for over six years. In this role, she supported the company as it began expanding globally.

Bangalore later moved to Aristocrat as Associate General Counsel for over five years, supporting the company’s US and LatAm business model. She was also involved in the mentorship and leadership programme, which championed diversity and inclusion.

Her most recent gambling position was with Games Global as an Advisory Board Member.

Bangalore has also sat on the Center for Board Excellence Insights Council for Nasdaq and been an Independent Board Member for StoneAge Waterblast Tools, Principal Mineral and Alliance Entertainment.

Earlier this month, Simon Zinger, Entain’s Group General Counsel and Chief Customer Care Officer, contacted six Premier League clubs about their ties to unlicensed gambling companies that were featured on their shirts.
