Miles Baron has stepped down as CEO of The Bingo Association, the National Bingo Game Association (NBGA) and Meeron after more than 13 years in the role.
The Bingo Association confirmed Baron's departure in a statement, thanking him for his leadership and contribution to the licensed bingo sector.
The organisation described him as a strong advocate for the industry, crediting him with helping to deliver a number of reforms and achievements during his tenure.
On behalf of The Bingo Association, Meeron, the NBGA and its members, the organisation wished Baron well for the future, noting that his work has helped position the sector positively for the years ahead.
Baron also reflected on his departure in a message shared on LinkedIn, describing his final day as CEO as the conclusion of "thirteen and a half years" leading the organisations.
He went on to note: "I am immensely proud of the many achievements made by the BA/NBGA team at Dunstable during my time there. My thanks go to all those who helped make them possible, including bingo operators and club colleagues, all our suppliers, advisors and consultants, DCMS and the Gambling Commission, and of course thousands of weekly bingo playing customers who make the licensed bingo sector such an amazing place to work.
"I wish everyone a prosperous and successful future and I know my successor Nicole will take the sector forward to a whole new level."
His departure comes during a period of significant change for the UK bingo industry. In recent years, the sector has navigated regulatory reforms and secured the abolition of UK bingo duty, which came into effect in April 2026 after a long-running campaign by industry representatives.
Baron's successor, Nicole Garrett, was appointed earlier this year after joining from Allwyn, where she served as Group Head of Responsible Gaming. Her previous experience also includes senior policy and regulatory roles at bet365 and the Betting and Gaming Council.
