Bally's Corporation and its portfolio of casino properties in Black Hawk, Colorado have signed a "landmark" neutrality agreement with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, helping provide simplified union representation for employees.

The new agreement will form an official card check process, in which Black Hawk employees will be able to choose union representation just by signing their name on authorization cards. Once a majority of workers have signed onto a respective union, Bally's will automatically recognize the group as part of the Teamsters organization.

"The Teamsters Union and Bally's Black Hawk have come together on an agreement that puts working people first. This is how you raise standards across an entire industry - by giving workers the freedom to unionize without fear," Teamsters General President Sean O'Brien said.

"Bally's workers are the heart and soul of the company. Now they'll have the ability to secure the protection, strength and long-term benefits that come with being Teamsters as they continue to ensure Bally's remains successful for generations to come."

As part of the collaboration, Bally's Black Hawk and Teamsters will continue to prioritize problem solving and joint progress for casino workers to ensure "stronger workplaces, thriving communities and long-term opportunities" are maintained.

"Our people are at the heart of everything we do," Bally's Chairman Soo Kim said.

"This agreement reflects our commitment to listening, learning and working together with the Teamsters to support our employees and the communities where we live and operate."

The operator currently manages three properties in Black Hawk, Colorado, which combine to feature over 540 slots, 33 table games and a premier poker room.

Teamsters was originally founded in 1903 and represents approximately 1.3 million workers across the US, Canada and Puerto Rico.
