Banijay Group has reported revenue of €2.58bn for the first half of 2026, representing a 16.9% year-on-year increase. On a constant foreign exchange and pro forma basis, which adjusts for currency movements and changes in the group structure, revenue increased by 4.5%.

The group reported strong underlying performance across – to be expected during a World Cup summer –   in its sports betting & gaming and live experiences divisions. Sports betting & gaming revenue reached €1.21bn in H1 2026, up 10.5% on a pro forma basis. Growth was driven by a 22% increase in unique active players, supported by strong engagement during the final stages of the UEFA Champions League and record activity around the FIFA World Cup.

Banijay noted that H1 2026 results included only a partial contribution from the FIFA World Cup, as the tournament took place across both Q2 and Q3. The company reported record engagement and betting activity throughout the full competition.

Sportsbook revenue increased by 8.6% on a pro forma basis, while combined revenue from games, poker and turf grew by 18.3%.

Adjusted EBITDA increased by 18.5% to €502.9m. However, on a constant foreign exchange and pro forma basis, adjusted EBITDA remained broadly stable, rising 0.1%. Excluding the impact of betting tax increases in France and Austria, adjusted EBITDA increased by 5.0%.

Banijay said it continued to execute on its strategic priorities, including the integration of Tipico following its acquisition on 23 April 2026 and the completion of the All3Media combination in July. The company said these developments further strengthen the group’s scale, diversification and long-term growth prospects.

The successful acquisition of Tipico, the completion of the combination of Banijay Entertainment and All3Media, and the proposed acquisition of JOA in France grant to the group more scale, more diversity in terms of geography, channels of distribution, and a better strategic positioning to achieve all its strategic goals, creating new opportunities for both growth and value creation.”

Antoine Jouteau has now joined Banijay Gaming as its new CEO. Succeeding Riahi, Jouteau brings more than two decades of experience in technology, digital platforms and e-commerce.

In April, Banijay completed the acquisition of a majority stake in Tipico, with plans to gradually increase its ownership to 72% through previously agreed call options over the coming years
