The Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) has released the state's total gaming activity for October 2025, as revenue from slot machines, table games and sports betting combined to total $1.35bn, equating to growth of 5%.
While the city of Las Vegas has experienced tourism declines throughout 2025, gaming revenue from the Las Vegas Strip area was $748.9m for October, having risen 8.2% from the prior year period.
Clark County as a whole accounted for $1.17bn of Nevada's total gaming revenue for October, representing an increase of 5%.
Downtown Las Vegas witnessed a slight fall in gaming revenue year-over-year, however, reporting just over $86.6m for October and decreasing 0.2%.
The Laughlin and Boulder Strip areas also reported decreases in gaming revenue for October, falling 5.2% and 8.9%, respectively, for monthly totals of $42m and $78.6m.
North Las Vegas and Mesquite managed to generate increases in gaming revenue for October, as the Northern region of Sin City produced nearly $24.4m of revenue for growth of 8.4%, while Mesquite accounted for $17.2m and rose 5.6%.
In Washoe County, total gaming revenue increased 4.1% to $95.3m throughout October, primarily generated by Reno activity which produced $68.4m of revenue and grew 0.3% from the prior year period. The Sparks area reported a gaming revenue increase of 16.5% for a total of $16.8m, but North Lake Tahoe witnessed a 4.2% fall in gaming revenue to $1.8m.
South Lake Tahoe was the only region of Nevada to experience a fall in gaming revenue for October 2025, as the area managed to generate nearly $20.4m for a decrease of 2.2%. Elko County produced an October gaming revenue increase of 5.4% to $33.5m, including the Wendover area which accounted for $22.5m and rose 4.2%.
Finally, the Carson Valley area of Nevada generated an October 2025 gaming revenue of just over $12m, representing an increase of 4% year-over-year. For the period running from July 1 through October 31, 2025, total gaming revenue in Nevada increased 3% for a fiscal year total of close to $5.22bn.
While slot machine revenue accounted for $911.3m of Nevada's total gaming win for October, the figure still equates to a decrease in revenue of 2.1%.
Table game revenue increased 23% to nearly $433.7m, however, primarily generated by blackjack and baccarat which produced October gaming revenues of $117.6m and $116.9m, respectively.
The only type of slot machine to witness an increase in gaming revenue from the prior year period were multi-denomination, which generated just over $708.3m of revenue for growth of 8.6%.
One cent machines accounted for $133.7m of the gaming type's total revenue for October, but fell 30.9% year-over-year.
Mobile sports betting and wagers placed on the NFL and college football accounted for the vast majority of Nevada sports betting revenue throughout October, producing $42.3m and $31.8m, respectively, for increases of 127.7% and 235.8%.
While the NBA and NHL began its 2025-2026 regular seasons in October, the sports produced just $6.3m and $4m of revenue for the monthly period.
