Following a recent refurbishment of Empire Casino’s second floor, this week marked the ribbon cutting of the premier casino’s Aristocrat On The Square gaming lounge.
Situated next to Empire Casino’s revered Dragon Lounge, Aristocrat Gaming’s shimmering new game lounge oozes both experience and class, with a sparkling array of lights decorating the newly refurbished second floor.
Bringing a taste of Vegas to London
Situated in London’s legendary Leicester Square – Empire Casino’s interior has a lot to live up to with regard to glitz and glamour. The budling's start-studded past has carried through to the present day, with regular celebrity guests – including recently Justin Bieber – bringing a taste of Hollywood London’s damp yet vibrant nightlife. Over the years, the Empire building has had many lifetimes and offers a historical grandiose from the inside that remains a tall order to match as you step through the doors.
That, however, was the exact brief that Metropolitan Gaming had to meet and exceed with this latest refurbishment. Stepping through the introduction lounge and into the casino’s new premier gaming cabinet slot suite, it’s evident the time and attention that has been taken by the casino architecture team and Aristocrat, alike, when designing the new space.

An Aristocrat’s home in London
Newly adorned with meticulously placed Aristocrat Gaming Cabinets, Empire Casino’s new lounge is complete with an array of sports screens, a new bar and a number of Aristocrat slot titles, including Buffalo Gold Revolution and Choy’s Kingdom, to name but a few.
Nevertheless, the omission of any Dragon Link cabinets is notable – especially given the title’s success over the pond. When considering casino's outlined mission to create a Vegas-style experience in the heart of London, it is hard to imagine it will be too long before Dragon Link makes an appearance in the Empire.
Regardless of specifics, the room is undeniably stunning and provides a well-crafted atmospheric differentiation between from the Dragon Lounge, offsetting the classic Macanese-inspired architectural style complete with table and roulette games with a more modern, sleek and screen-driven aesthetic.

A new era for Empire and Aristocrat
The ceremonious ribbon cutting is led by senior members of both the Metropolitan Gaming and Aristocrat Gaming teams – who collectively thank the attendees of the grand opening, alongside the many members of floor staff and behind the scenes workers, for pulling together what is described as a ‘groundbreaking feat.’
Indeed, the pair’s partnership on the new Aristocrat Lounge – signified by the branded plaque greeting guests and the room’s entrance – remains in its fledgling stage but highlights Aristocrat’s intent to further enhance its land-based presence in the UK and wider EMEA region. This timely launch also falls in the wake of Aristocrat Gaming picking up two awards and the prestigious Global Gaming Awards 2026 EMEA ceremony in Barcelona last month in both the Casino Supplier of the Year and Product Launch of the Year categories. The product in question is the supplier’s Baron Upright, a game that is now well and truly a staple of the Empire Casino second-floor lounge.
Revitalised, refreshed and ready for action – the newly adorned lounge space is the perfect host for an event which acts as a sign for things to come for one of London’s premier, fast-growing casino locations.
The Empire Building was originally built in 1884 and was both a theatre and cinema, before being re-purposed as Empire Casino in 2007
