Casinos across Nevada reported $1.23bn in gaming revenue for August 2025, a 5.5% year-over-year increase, with baccarat and mobile wagering delivering the strongest growth.
Clark County once again accounted for the bulk of statewide results, generating $1.03bn, up 5.3%. Within the county, the Las Vegas Strip brought in $652.1m, a 2% rise.
Multi-denomination slot machines still posted a 14.2% increase to $508.5m, though penny slot revenue slumped 31.2% to $93.1m.
Baccarat proved the standout driver, nearly doubling to $115.6m in revenue, offsetting weaker slot machine results.
Performance across Las Vegas varied: Downtown revenue reached $63.2m, up 8.3%, while North Las Vegas added 7.8% at $24.7m. Laughlin fell 7.1% to $41m and the Boulder Strip edged down 1.1% to $84.8m.
Outside of Clark County, Washoe County generated $102.8m, up 7.4%, with Reno itself rising 9.9% to $76.1m. Sparks grew 3.2% to $15.7m, though North Lake Tahoe dropped 15% to $3.1m.
South Lake Tahoe saw a sharp recovery, increasing 21.5% to $37.7m, while Carson Valley posted $12.4m, up 8.9%.
Mesquite also grew 9.9% to $15.1m, while Elko County slipped 0.8% to $32.4m.
The August increase followed a 4% gain in July and comes after June and May both delivered billion-dollar results that highlighted the state's reliance on baccarat to support growth.
