The Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission (GSC) has signed a new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Spillemyndigheden, the Danish Gambling Regulator.
The deal will allow both parties to share more information with one another through open channels of communication.
The GSC explained in its post that: "The GSC engages regularly with a wide range of international counterparts and stakeholders, both bilaterally and in multilateral forums, to enhance cooperation; share best practice; discuss issues of common interest; and shape and influence cross-border regulatory issues."
This can include, but is not limited to, sharing intelligence regarding international organised crime.
"The GSC is dedicated to upholding consumer protection and public order through international cooperation," the regulator explained. "By collaborating with both local and global regulatory bodies, the GSC aims to combat money laundering, terrorism financing, and the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction."
In the last few years, the GSC has signed similar deals with several other international regulatory entities.
At the time of writing, the GSC has live MOUs with gambling commissions in Alderney, Estonia, Jersey, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, the Seychelles and the UK.
The authority has also signed additional deals with the International Association of Gaming Regulators (IAGR) and the Gambling Regulators European Forum (GREF).
All of these allow the GSC to stay afloat of international developments in the gambling market.
The MOU was signed by Mark Rutherford, GSC CEO; and Anders Dorph, Spillemyndigheden Director
