The state lottery of Mato Grosso do Sul (Lotesul) has launched a dedicated institutional page on the website of the State Secretariat of Finance (Sefaz).
Indeed, this launch happened despite the ongoing suspension of its operating tender by the State Audit Court (TCE-MS).
The new section presents Lotesul's official branding, visual identity and general information about the lottery's intended operation.
This latest update comes while the public bidding process to select the private operator responsible for running the lottery remains frozen, following a ruling that halted the tender ahead of its scheduled auction date earlier this month.
The page features Lotesul's logo, which incorporates the colours of the Mato Grosso do Sul state flag alongside a four-leaf clover, a traditional symbol of luck.
It also outlines the lottery's stated commitment to responsible gaming, described as a conscious and controlled practice, and highlights the social role of lottery revenues, which are earmarked for public interest initiatives.
According to figures disclosed by the state government, Lotesul is expected to have significant revenue-generation potential once operational. Official estimates suggest that the lottery could move up to 0.85% of the state's gross domestic product, translating into annual revenues ranging between BR1.4bn and BR2bn, depending on market performance and the final structure of the project.
Although there is still no timeline for when Lotesul will begin operating, the publication of the institutional page marks a step in presenting the lottery's identity and objectives to the public.
State officials have framed the move as part of a transparency effort, even as regulatory and procedural hurdles continue to delay the lottery's relaunch.
