Macau’s gaming industry has entered 2026 with a wave of workforce enhancements, as Wynn Macau, Galaxy Entertainment and Sands China each confirmed salary increases and bonus arrangements for eligible employees.
The moves cover well over 95% of each company’s workforce and reflect improving business conditions across the city’s integrated resorts.
Wynn Macau announced that starting March 1, eligible employees at Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace will receive salary increases ranging from 2% to 4.5%. The adjustment applies to 98% of the company’s 11,803 staff.
Employees earning MOP 16,000 (US$1,992) or below per month will receive a flat increase of MOP 500, representing a raise of roughly 3.1% to 4.5%. Those earning above that threshold will receive an average increase of 2%. Wynn will also distribute a special allowance equal to one month of gross salary on January 30.
Linda Chen, President and Vice Chairman of Wynn Macau, said the company wished to share the results of its collective achievements as it marks the 20th anniversary of Wynn Macau and the 10th anniversary of Wynn Palace.
Galaxy Entertainment confirmed similar adjustments, effective April 1. Around 98% of its employees will benefit, with eligible team members earning up to MOP 16,000 receiving a MOP 500 increase and those above that level receiving a 2% raise.
The company recently announced a discretionary bonus equivalent to one month of salary for 2025 performance, covering about 97% of staff.
Sands China became the first concessionaire to confirm a 2026 pay rise, announcing both salary increases and a discretionary bonus to be paid on February 6. The adjustments will benefit 99% of Sands China’s nearly 28,000 employees. Staff earning up to MOP 16,000 will receive a flat MOP 500 increase, while those above that level will receive a 2% adjustment.
Sands China CEO Grant Chum said 2025 had been a “remarkable year”, citing strong operations and a packed events calendar that included hosting the NBA China Games at the upgraded Venetian Arena.
