Key Points
The number of Série A clubs with betting companies as shirt sponsors fell by 33% year-on-year
Despite fewer deals, operators still hold the most valuable sponsorship contracts in the league
Long-term agreements with top clubs continue to set market benchmarks

In 2026, 12 Série A clubs feature betting companies as their main shirt sponsors, down from 18 in 2025, representing a 33% reduction in the number of active deals.

The 2026 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A consists of the 20 top professional football clubs, featuring traditional clubs Flamengo, São Paulo, Corinthians and Santos.

The decline follows the expiration or termination of several high-profile partnerships.

Vasco da Gama, Internacional, Bahia,  Santos and more ended contracts with operators and, so far, have not announced new sponsors for the primary shirt position.

Red Bull Bragantino and newly promoted Mirassol are also without betting sponsors, with the former maintaining branding linked to its ownership group and the latter backed by a soft drinks company.

Despite the contraction in volume, betting companies remain central to the financial structure of Brazilian football sponsorships.

Over recent seasons, the entry of regulated operators significantly inflated shirt sponsorship values, pushing deals to record levels. That legacy continues to shape the current market.

Flamengo’s partnership with Betano remains the most valuable sponsorship agreement in Brazilian football. The deal is worth approximately BR268.5m ($52m) per year and runs until 2028, underscoring the willingness of operators to commit to long-term, high-value arrangements with clubs offering national and international visibility.

Other major clubs continue to rely on betting partners as cornerstone commercial relationships. Sportingbet and Betano are also in the running to get Santos’ main sponsorship.

Operators have already begun reassessing exposure in state championship naming rights while selectively renewing or extending premium national assets, such as Betano’s investment in the Campeonato Paulista.

The total amount invested in front-of-shirt sponsorships in Brazil increased from $82m in 2023 to $223m in 2025
