Ukraine is set to launch its national gambling exclusion register in December this year.
The online register will handle applications from individuals or their concerned family members, which is a step further than most other European exclusion programmes.
Users will be able to log in through the Government's Diia app and submit the application within a few minutes.
Diia is an online platform first launched by the Ukrainian Government on 6 February 2020, and started with the capacity to hold driver's licences and car registration documents.
After five years of operations, Diia now stores 14 digital documents including biometric passports, and houses over 20 additional services.
The register will also facilitate users to contact gaming operators and check that the player is excluded from their services.
The Ministry of Digital Transformation is overseeing the project and is encouraging IT companies to come forward if they wish to participate in creating the register.
The register is set to launch by December of this year and will support Ukraine's efforts to modernise its gambling landscape, as well as its newly formed regulator, PlayCity.
A spokesperson for the Ministry of Digital Transformation said: "The launch of the Register will strengthen the state's digital infrastructure in the field of gambling and provide a stable basis for the further implementation of the responsible gaming policy."
Diia launched an online marriage service in late 2024. In the first month, over 1.1 million Ukrainians tried proposing using the technology and 435 couples got married
