Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) has requested that Australian internet service providers block a further eight illegal online gambling websites found to be operating in breach of the Interactive Gambling Act 2001.

The latest sites subject to blocking requests include C***spin, Frumzi, Great Win, MyStake, Oh My Spins, RetroBet, The Dog House 2 Slot and Viperwin.

Website blocking forms part of a broader enforcement strategy aimed at protecting Australians from unlicensed gambling operators. Since issuing its first blocking request in November 2019, the regulator has overseen the blocking of 1,564 illegal gambling and affiliate websites.

In addition, more than 225 illegal gambling services have withdrawn from the Australian market since the authority began enforcing strengthened illegal online gambling rules in 2017.

The regulator warned that illegal gambling websites often present themselves as legitimate services but typically lack the consumer safeguards required under Australian law. This may leave customers exposed to financial loss, disputes over winnings and limited avenues for redress.

The authority continues to encourage members of the public to remain vigilant when engaging with online wagering platforms and to report suspected illegal operators. Guidance on how to protect against unlawful gambling services and how to submit complaints is available on the regulator’s website.

The latest blocking action reflects the regulator’s ongoing efforts to disrupt access to offshore gambling operators and to support a safer, more transparent regulated wagering environment in Australia.
