Italy’s Customs and Monopolies Agency (ADM) has ordered the one-year suspension of Vinci per la Vita - Win for Life Grattacieli, with the final draw scheduled for 31 May 2026 at 23:55.
The suspension will take effect from 1 June and has been issued under ADM’s powers to suspend national number game formulas for public-interest reasons.
The measure follows the introduction of a wider regulatory framework for concession-based number games, published in January 2026.
The decision is linked to the launch of Vinci per la Vita - Super Win for Life, a new formula proposed by concessionaire Sisal Italia. Collections for the new product are scheduled to begin on 3 June, with daily draws set for 20:00.
ADM said the Grattacieli formula had recorded a “rilevante contrazione della raccolta” in recent years, reducing both collection and related tax revenue. It also said keeping the existing product active could make it harder to assess the performance of Super Win for Life during its launch phase.
Sisal Italia manages Italy’s national totalisator number games under a concession agreement that began in December 2021.
The Win for Life brand currently includes Classico and Grattacieli formats, with the latter offering annuity-style prizes through a daily draw structure.
The suspension does not cancel player claims from draws already completed. Sisal must continue to manage prize payment procedures for winnings achieved up to the final draw and account for any prize pools not awarded before the suspension takes effect.
The move comes as Italy continues to adjust its gambling framework across online, retail and lottery segments. The country’s 2026 number games regulation provides ADM with more direct powers to reshape game formulas, while the wider gambling reform programme is focused on licensing, oversight and tax stability.
In April, Global Gaming Insider reported that ADM recorded €11.47bn ($13.40bn) in state gambling revenue for 2025, with lotteries and number games accounting for 28.40% of the total.
The new Super Win for Life formula is planned as a two-year trial, while the Grattacieli suspension is limited to one year
