MGM Resorts International and BetMGM have renewed their partnerships with Major League Baseball (MLB), extending a commercial relationship that dates back to 2018 when the companies became the league’s first official gaming and sports betting partners.
The new multi-year agreements will see MGM Resorts continue as MLB’s exclusive Integrated Resort & Casino Partner, maintaining its involvement in a range of fan-focused initiatives and events.
Among these is the ongoing development of MLB Awards Week in Las Vegas, alongside other league activities designed to promote the sport and its players.
As part of the renewal, BetMGM will continue to market its sports betting products and brand across MLB’s media ecosystem, including MLB Network, MLB.com and other digital platforms in the US and Canada.
The operator will also retain sponsorship integrations within MLB-related content on Apple TV and continue developing MLB-themed casino games for its online casino platform.
Both companies highlighted responsible gaming as a key component of the partnership; MGM Resorts and BetMGM will continue promoting GameSense, the responsible gaming programme licensed from the British Columbia Lottery Corporation, alongside BetMGM’s existing player protection tools and anti-athlete harassment policies.
Commenting on the partnership extension, BetMGM Chief Revenue Officer Matt Prevost stated: "Major League Baseball offers one of the most engaging, data-rich experiences in sports, and this renewal underscores our shared commitment to innovation, integrity and responsibility.
"Together, we're enhancing how fans experience the game, from defining moments on the field to legendary experiences at marquee events like MLB All-Star Week."
Lance Evans, MGM Resorts' SVP of Sports & Sponsorships, added: "As Major League Baseball continues to evolve, we're pleased to extend a partnership that aligns with our long-term vision for global sports and entertainment.
"From Las Vegas and throughout the world, we're focused on providing premium experiences that connect sports with hospitality."
The agreement complements existing relationships between MGM Resorts, BetMGM and several MLB franchises, including the Boston Red Sox, Cincinnati Reds, Detroit Tigers, Houston Astros, Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Yankees, Philadelphia Phillies, Pittsburgh Pirates and Washington Nationals.
The renewal also comes during a period of broader commercial activity involving both MLB and BetMGM.
Earlier this year, MLB entered the prediction markets sector through agreements with Polymarket and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, aimed at strengthening integrity oversight and data-sharing frameworks.
BetMGM has also recently expanded its sponsorship portfolio, including the renewal of its title sponsorship of Premier League Darts and the appointment of professional poker player Esther Taylor as a brand ambassador.
The partnership between MLB and MGM Resorts originally began in 2018, making MGM Resorts and BetMGM the league’s first official gaming and sports betting partners
