Betnacional has launched a new World Cup campaign starring brand ambassador Vini Jr, with the advert debuting in the early hours of Thursday following Brazil’s victory over Scotland.
Part of the operator’s ‘Get your passion in the game’ campaign, the film draws inspiration from the famous Apollo 13 phrase “Houston, we have a problem” ahead of Brazil’s next fixture in Texas, using a wordplay with the state’s largest city.
As part of the same campaign, the operator also announced a partnership with Casa RR, the World Cup fan experience in Miami centred around former Brazil striker Ronaldo.
In the newest part of the campaign, Betnacional’s advert presents Vini Jr playfully warning that Brazil’s next opponents have “a problem” on their hands, with the narrative framed around the challenge of stopping a team carrying momentum into the competition’s Round of 32.

Flutter Entertainment-owned BetNacional has played on the alien invation theme in its latest campaign
The film is narrated by legendary Brazilian commentator Galvão Bueno, adding to the anticipation surrounding Brazil’s next World Cup fixture.
The campaign also extended beyond video, with promotional images depicting UFOs abducting members of Brazil’s national team.
Why would Betnacional use aliens in a campaign?
The campaign captures the country’s zeitgeist as it arrives with timely cultural relevance after Brazil was swept up in a wave of UFO-themed memes and online discussion following a viral prediction from a self-proclaimed psychic, who claimed an alien spacecraft would appear during Brazil’s match against Scotland in Miami.
Even though no UFOs were seen in the match, the campaign managed to play along with the country’s public, making one more link with the national sport.
Cruzeiro recently expanded its partnership with Betnacional, naming the operator as the main shirt sponsor of its women’s football team for the 2026 season
