MGM has expanded its responsible gaming strategy across Macau, reinforcing its commitment to building a safe and healthy tourism environment while supporting the Government's policy direction, according to Macao Daily.
The operator stated its latest initiatives form part of a long-term framework integrating education, industry training and community-based interventions.
This year, MGM has sought to strengthen its professional standards - with all members of its responsible gaming administrative team now holding Macau-certified instructor status, alongside international accreditation from a Canadian Responsible Gaming Compliance Association.
Beyond internal training, MGM has accelerated outreach programs. Its Responsible Gaming Community Care Partnership, launched in 2023 and now in its third edition, covers students, youth, families, residents, visitors and frontline workers. Elsewhere, new staff-care initiatives were introduced this year, focusing on employee support, awareness and pathways to assistance.
MGM's collaboration with local social service groups continues to expand. Its "Smart Community" responsible gaming and financial literacy carnival with the Macau New Chinese Youth Association, now in its third year, attracted more than 3,000 participants and over 60 racers in its orienteering event. The outdoor "RG Express" campaign also returned, promoting responsible entertainment across neighborhoods and tourist zones.
Targeting youth, MGM has introduced slogan competitions, family financial carnivals and ambassador training to help young adults develop healthy attitudes towards money and entertainment. Over 150 entries were received in this year's slogan contest, including a new parent-child category designed to strengthen family engagement.
The company has also deepened its cooperation with higher education institutions. Through its partnership with the Macau University of Science and Technology and Macau City University, responsible gaming and financial literacy training has been incorporated into university orientation, with new student-led creativity competitions generating more than 110,000 online views.
MGM said these initiatives reflect a commitment to "shared responsibility" among enterprises, schools and the wider community in strengthening Macau's social safety net.
MGM is among the first Macau operators to receive full-site recognition for responsible gaming implementation
