FanDuel has been named an official betting operator of Formula 1 as part of a new multi-year agreement that marks the first partnership between Formula 1 and a betting operator in the US.
The deal will see FanDuel’s sportsbook odds integrated into Formula 1’s age-gated betting guide, as well as betting-related editorial content across the official Formula 1 website and mobile app.
The partnership is aimed at increasing fan engagement through real-time betting insights and race-weekend wagering content.
According to the companies, the collaboration will also include responsible gaming initiatives tailored specifically for Formula 1 audiences in North America.
Fans will be able to access betting markets covering race winners, podium finishes and head-to-head driver matchups, with additional betting products expected to launch later this year.
Commenting on the new deal, Karol Corcoran, Managing Director of FanDuel Sportsbook, stated: "Being named an official betting operator of Formula 1 marks an exciting step forward as we enhance our sportsbook product to deliver more interactive experiences for fans.
"Formula 1 generates an incredible amount of real-time data, and our platform is built to turn that into engaging betting opportunities for fans. This partnership will allow us to deliver even more immersive, data-driven experiences throughout the race weekend."
Jonny Haworth, Director of Commercial Partnerships at Formula 1, added: "We're delighted to welcome FanDuel as our new official betting operator in the US and Canada – markets that continue to increase their love and engagement with Formula 1.
"As sports betting becomes an increasing component of how fans, especially in the US, interact with sport, it's vital we have a strong and well-placed partner to deliver our strategy and fuel our momentum across the market. With tens of millions of fans across the country, FanDuel is yet another avenue that eligible fans can enjoy and experience the thrill of Formula 1."
The announcement comes during a period of notable change at FanDuel. Earlier this month, CEO Amy Howe departed the company after more than five years in the role, with President Christian Genetski stepping into the leadership position as FanDuel navigates an evolving competitive landscape that now includes the rising influence of prediction market platforms.
Formula 1 has seen rapid audience growth in the US in recent years, supported by additional race events and increased media exposure through streaming and documentary content
