Expanse Studios has received regulatory certification allowing its gaming content to be commercially deployed in the Baltic markets of Estonia and Latvia.
The studio, a subsidiary of Meridian Holdings, said the approval follows technical testing conducted by Gaming Associates, a UKAS-accredited testing laboratory.
The process confirmed that two of the company’s titles, Candy’s Bonanza and Leprechaun’s Wish, comply with the technical standards required by Baltic regulatory authorities.
With certification now in place, the games can be deployed on licensed gaming platforms operating in both jurisdictions.
The approvals represent a step forward in Expanse Studios’ strategy to expand across regulated European markets.
Countries in the region typically require independent technical certification before content providers can distribute games through licensed operators, creating a structured regulatory framework for market entry.
According to industry research cited by the company, Estonia’s online gambling market was valued at approximately $452.5m in 2025 and has demonstrated strong player engagement, with average revenue per user reaching around €150 per month.
The jurisdiction has also approved legislation to reduce the online gambling tax rate from 6% to 4% by 2029.
Latvia’s online gambling market reached €170.7m ($198m) in 2025, accounting for around 57% of the country’s total gambling revenue and representing an 11% year-on-year increase.
Online casino games account for more than 60% of Latvia’s online gambling activity, reflecting continued growth in digital gaming channels.
Commenting on the development, Expanse Studios CEO Damjan Stamenkovic said: “This certification gives us a solid foundation for further growth in this part of Europe. The approvals in the Baltics allow operators to go live more quickly, and they reflect the way we approach regulated markets.
We focus on building compliant, reliable distribution capabilities that create real long-term value.”
