FanDuel Predicts is hosting a free gas giveaway in Tampa
Promotion tied to March basketball tournaments and platform engagement
New users offered $25 incentive to join prediction market platform

FanDuel Predicts, FanDuel's prediction market platform, is marking the March basketball tournament season with a consumer activation in Tampa, Florida, offering free gas to local residents on 18 March, from 10am to 2pm local time.

The giveaway is taking place at a Marathon Gas Station on E Kennedy Boulevard, a location hand-picked by FanDuel ambassador and former NFL tight end Rob Gronkowski, who has longstanding ties to the Tampa area from his time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

In addition to the fuel giveaway, FanDuel Predicts is offering $25 to any new user aged 18 or over who creates an account on the platform during March.

The platform enables customers to take yes or no positions on a range of event contracts, including games in the March basketball tournaments for users based in Florida.

The Tampa activation is the latest in a series of personality-driven promotions FanDuel has run with Gronkowski in recent weeks. Earlier this month, the operator launched a challenge tied to The Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass, where Gronkowski attempted to land a shot on the famous island green at the 17th hole.

Customers who opted in stood to share $300,000 in Bonus Bets if the attempt was successful.

These activations sit within a broader period of expansion for the FanDuel brand. The operator recently integrated PokerStars into its casino platform across Pennsylvania, Michigan and New Jersey under the Multi-State Internet Gaming Agreement.

FanDuel also launched its research-based responsible gaming campaign, Play with a Plan, which reported a 41% increase in responsible gaming tool usage among its customers during 2025.
