Spribe can now provide gambling facilities on its software licence in the UK again, after being suspended for “serious non-compliance with the hosting requirements of our licensing framework.”
Developer of the popular crash game – Aviator, Spribe was hit with a suspension by the Gambling Commission in October 2025.
Operating under a Gambling Software licence, the Commission said Spribe needed a Hosting licence.
In an interview with Global Gaming Insider, Spribe CEO David Natroshvili said the issue was mainly an administrative error but said the Commission had not given Spribe any warning.
The suspension was taken seriously and an update on 31 October as part of an official statement via Spribe’s LinkedIn said: “Spribe has held a remote operating licence in the UK market since late 2020 and has complied with all its terms, including annual audits, regulatory returns, and transparent communication with the GC regarding any questions or concerns throughout all these years. It only came to our attention last week from the GC that, due to our technical setup, we need to add a hosting licence to our existing one.”
February 2026 saw another collaboration for Spribe with UFC in the form of former middleweight champion Michael Bisping as a brand ambassador for Aviator under a one-year agreement.
The Gambling Commission defended its decision by saying that it was necessary on “grounds of suitability.”
Global Gaming Insider reached out to Spribe but the supplier has no further comment.
