The Brazilian Institute of Women’s Football (IBFF) has launched the IBFF Academy, a free educational platform developed with support from Betano to help advance the professionalization of women’s football in Brazil.
According to the organization, the initiative aims to train more than 1,000 professionals during its first year, including coaches, referees, fitness trainers, managers and specialists working across different areas of the sport.
The academy has been designed not only as a training platform but also as a way to expand opportunities, connect talent and strengthen the pipeline of professionals expected to contribute to the long-term growth of women’s football in the country.
The first course will focus on coach education and is scheduled to become available in August.
IBFF describes its mission as supporting the development of women’s football in Brazil while promoting participation and professional opportunities for girls and women through innovative projects. The organization also aims to become a reference point for development programs serving athletes, professionals, sports organizations and municipalities.
The launch adds to a growing number of initiatives linking betting operators with community, educational and sports development projects, particularly within football.
This is not the first time Betano has shown its support to women’s initiative in Brazil. Earlier this year, Betano supported Laço Rosa, a Brazilian non-profit dedicated to breast cancer advocacy and patient rights, by delivering 700 free medical exams.
The company has also supported Vida Ativa, a women's fitness initiative developed in partnership with Projeto Vida Corrida, a nonprofit organization based in São Paulo.
Betano has been confirmed as an official tournament supporter of the FIFA World Cup 2026 for Europe and South America
