Ukraine's gambling regulator PlayCity has imposed a UAH5.2m fine on Sport Today LLC, operator of Tribuna.com, after identifying further violations of the country's gambling advertising rules.
The regulator said a routine inspection found that the media outlet had systematically published advertisements for a brand under which illegal gambling activities were organised and conducted in Ukraine.
The latest action follows an earlier UAH4.8m penalty imposed on Tribuna in October 2025 over covert advertising for illegal bookmakers.
Sport Today challenged that sanction in court, but the court of first instance upheld PlayCity's decision. The company subsequently appealed the ruling, with those proceedings separate from the latest enforcement action.
PlayCity said it would continue monitoring Ukraine's information space for advertising linked to illegal gambling operators and take action against companies that fail to comply with advertising requirements.
The UAH5.2m penalty is the latest in a series of gambling enforcement actions taken by the regulator during October.
PlayCity previously fined Slots U.A. LLC more than UAH4.75m for two violations. The operator, which runs the Betking and 777.ua brands, was found to have allowed third parties to deposit funds into player accounts and failed to comply with an earlier regulatory order.
Separately, UAF Marketing LLC received a fine of nearly UAH5.2m on 8 October. That case concerned gambling advertising connected to an online casino's title sponsorship of the 2026/27 Ukrainian Cup.
Sport Today was registered in Kyiv in November 2012 and is headed by Maksym Berezinsky. Its main project, Tribuna.com, covers sports including football, basketball and esports, while the company's registered activities also include advertising, publishing, commercial consulting and market research.
