Korea Sports Leisure has received police recognition for its gambling problem prevention activities, with CEO Kim Dae-wook and four employees receiving commendations for their involvement in a collaborative awareness initiative.
Kim received a commendation from the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency Commissioner during an event marking the 81st anniversary of Police Day at Seoul Namdaemun Police Station. Four other Korea Sports Leisure employees received commendations from the station chief.
The recognition followed the 2026 Sports Toto Gambling Problem Prevention Content Contest, organized jointly by Korea Sports Leisure, the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation and Seoul Namdaemun Police Station.
Held from July 20 to August 23, the contest was designed to raise public awareness of gambling-related risks and illegal gambling while encouraging wider participation in prevention efforts.
Organizers received 107 submissions during the contest period, with 15 ultimately selected as winning entries.
Korea Sports Leisure is also extending its prevention efforts to youth gambling through a separate campaign running from October 26 to November 8 on Betman, the official online sales platform for Sports Toto.
The initiative incorporates ZEP-based quiz content developed by Seoul Namdaemun Police Station. It is intended to encourage voluntary participation while improving awareness of gambling risks among young people.
The company said it plans to continue working with police on initiatives addressing youth gambling and broader gambling-related harm.
