Kambi has announced a new partnership extension deal with Churchill Downs Incorporated (CDI) which sees the supplier extend its sportsbook technology across additional CDI locations.

The pair are seeking to build on their pre-existing collaboration, which currently sees CDI utilize Kambi's turnkey sportsbook solution at 15 retail sportsbook venues across eight states, into additional locations as part of this deal. Further, CDI has also revealed as part of this announcement that it plans to launch sports betting activities in the state of Maine this month - a move that will see the operator maneuver into its ninth state sports betting market.

Indeed, Kambi's sports betting technology solutions - including its retail sportsbook, betting kiosks and over-the-counter wagering - will play an integral part of this planned expansion for CDI, which operates at the intersect of horseracing and sports.

Speaking on this latest deal, CDI CEO Bill Mudd stated: "Churchill Downs Incorporated is delighted to continue our successful relationship with Kambi as we aim to expand our retail sports betting operations. Kambi's proven technology and commitment to excellence align with our mission to deliver exceptional wagering experiences in both sports and horseracing, which remains at the heart of our business."

For Churchill Downs, this latest update falls in the wake of the operator's Q3 2025 financial results, which saw it announce a company record quarterly revenue figure of $683m, up 9% in comparison to results from the prior year.

On the other side of the deal, Kambi's Q3 saw the supplier's revenue fall 13% year-on-year to €37.4m ($44m). Elsewhere last month, the company also brokered a similar deal for the expansion of its ongoing sportsbook partnership with Penn Entertainment.

Also commenting on this latest update was Kambi CEO Werner Becher, who said: "We are pleased to extend our partnership with Churchill Downs Incorporated as we both share the same commitment to delivering high-quality betting and entertainment experiences. CDI's deep-rooted heritage in horse racing and its growing retail sportsbook footprint makes them an ideal partner for our Turnkey Sportsbook. We look forward to continuing to support their expansion and continued success across the United States."
