Allwyn Greece has launched new Allwyn Care health initiatives focused on disease prevention and volunteer engagement.
The Allwyn Care programme complements the full renovation project of the General Cancer Hospital of Piraeus “Metaxa,” announced in early April as the flagship pillar of the initiative.
The new measures focus on prevention, early diagnosis and volunteerism, with the aim of fostering a broader cultural shift.
Specifically, the company will launch a blood donation and bone marrow donor recruitment programme alongside a preventive cancer screening programme, in collaboration with leading scientific organisations and civil society groups.
Through a mobile healthcare unit, free medical examinations will be offered in areas where access to organised healthcare services is limited.
Services will include digital mammography, Pap tests, PSA screening for prostate cancer, dermatoscopy and other preventive screenings. The programme will also feature informational and counselling activities conducted by specialised teams.
Jan Karas, CEO of Allwyn Greece, stated: “For us, healthcare is a fundamental social need and one of the clearest ways to contribute to social cohesion and dignity. This philosophy shapes everything around Allwyn Care.
“Today, we presented initiatives that aim to cultivate a new culture of contribution and prevention while delivering tangible results in areas where availability and access can save lives. At Allwyn, our social role is centred on responsibility, consistency and lasting impact - and that is precisely the essence of Allwyn Care.”
The nationwide scope of the initiatives and their focus on remote and underserved regions actively promote equal access to healthcare services throughout Greece.
In March, the merger between Allwyn and OPAP was finalised
