The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) has reported the state’s total gaming activity for August 2026, as casino win, iGaming and sports wagering combined for $615.7m, equating to a decrease of 4.1%.
iGaming was the only vertical in New Jersey which managed to increase revenue from the prior year period, rising 4.4% to just over $259.3m. Casino win and sports wagering revenue decreased 5.5% and 25%, respectively, to $294.9m and $61.4m.
Slot machine revenue accounted for $222.4m of New Jersey’s total gaming revenue for August despite decreasing 5.1%, while table games drove $72.5m and fell 6.5%. For iGaming, other authorized games generated $256.8m of the vertical’s revenue for August, equating to growth of 4.5%.

Online sports wagering was responsible for $59.7m of revenue during the monthly period, representing a decrease of 24.6%. Sportsbook lounges managed to produce $1.7m of revenue but fell 35.5% year-over-year.
Borgata was the only property in Atlantic City to report an increase in casino win during August, growing 6.4% to $85.4m. Hard Rock and Ocean Casino accounted for $53.1m and $44.5m, respectively, but decreased 9% and 13%.
Tropicana Atlantic City generated $24.5m of casino win and decreased 5.5%, followed by Harrah’s which fell 12.7% to $23.1m. Caesars accounted for $22.5m of New Jersey’s total casino win for August, equating to a decrease of 9.2%.

Resorts reported nearly $16m of casino win and decreased 1.2%, while Golden Nugget and Bally’s each generated $13m and fell by 10.3%.
FanDuel and DraftKings led all operators in iGaming revenue but each reported decreases year-over-year, as the Flutter Entertainment-owned entity generated $56.7m and fell 0.7%, while DraftKings decreased 7.5% to $43.5m.
BetMGM accounted for $35.1m of iGaming revenue and increased 7.8%, followed by Borgata Online Casino which decreased 0.1% to $20.6m. Caesars Palace and Hard Rock Bet generated $19.3m and $15.2m, respectively, for increases of 6.8% and 13.3%. BetFanatics managed $10m of iGaming revenue in New Jersey, increasing 30.7%.
For sports wagering, New Jersey’s handle for August decreased 9% to $732.4m, led by wagers related to baseball which totaled $205.5m and decreased 3.3%. Parlay wagers accounted for $228.6m of the state’s total handle but fell 4.8%.

FanDuel generated $22.6m of online sportsbook revenue in New Jersey during August and decreased 28.7%, with DraftKings once again finishing second after revenue fell 39.4% to nearly $16.9m.
On September 14, the New Jersey Assembly Tourism, Gaming and the Arts Committee unanimously approved AR 150, which urges heightened restrictions on gambling advertisements following an incident involving Philadelphia Phillies first baseman Bryce Harper and FanDuel.
